Getting around in Birmingham, England

Birmingham in England is the UK’s second city, in the West Midlands — not Birmingham, Alabama. You arrive in the city. New Street station is the rail knot; the Bullring shopping complex sits beside it. National Rail and West Midlands Railway publish times; this page does not.

Three civic places already have LapDrop cards: the Library of Birmingham on Centenary Square, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, and Birmingham Cathedral (St Philip). Opening hours sit on those listings and on the operators. No invented kitchen.

City council: birmingham.gov.uk. Buses are National Express West Midlands. The Rotunda on New Street is a landmark, not a hotel we added.

City hub: Birmingham on lap-drop.com.
